All of this being said, the purpose of the course is for educators to learn and incorporate the specific resilience habits provided as daily practices in their lives. In order to fully practice and assimilate the habits as lifestyle practices to reduce stress and improve resilience, students are encouraged to spend between 3-6 weeks moving through the course material.
Upon enrollment to the course, students will be given a link to register for the class at Ashland University. Upon completion of all of the required coursework, students will be issued a grade. Educator Resilience 1 – Reset to Rest for Educators Who Are Christian
This graduate-level course equips Christian educators with the tools and confidence to meet each school day with calm, clarity, and renewed energy. Blending brain-based science with Biblical principles, you’ll learn how to regulate your body’s stress response, shift your mindset, and approach challenges through the lens of God’s character and promises.
Through short, practical habits, you’ll discover how to:
-Reset your nervous system in moments of high pressure.
-Replace anxiety, burnout, and overwhelm with God’s peace.
-Build resilience that sustains both your professional performance and personal well-being.
-Integrate habits that align with your God-given calling while remaining effective in public or private school environments.
Each week, you’ll practice a new evidence-based habit designed to support both your mind and spirit. Along the way, you’ll experience the freedom and confidence that come from knowing you can meet any situation—not in your own strength, but with the peace, hope, and steadiness God provides.
By the end of the course, you’ll walk away with a personal resilience plan rooted in science and Scripture’s truth, ready to sustain you through every season of teaching.
Absolutely! While this version of the course is faith-based to fulfill your personal beliefs, all of the resilience habits taught in this course are scientifically-based and applicable in any teaching environment. You will learn habits of rest, peace, and presence that help you serve faithfully and that you can apply within the context of any school setting.
